Halstons mask designed for the guest of honor Katherine Graham
Halston designed the mask to compliment Ms Grahams Balmain dress. At first his design incorporated a cloth covered stick for her to remove the mask with greater ease however she said she needed both hands to great guests so he changed the fitting to cloth covered wires wrapped around top of ears.
